Show i LOOP THE LOOP WITH AUTO'S. LOOPING the Loop promises to be the favorite favor-ite amusement with automobiles in south- K1 ern Utah next summer. The loop is formed by the jf! road from Springville south via Nephi, Fillmore, ' Kanosh, Beaver, Parowan, Cedar City, Hurricane, j, Kanab, on to the Grand Canyon, and back via K; Panguitch, Marysvale, Richfield, and Manti, which H," will give tourists from the northern part of the m state, not only an opportunity to visit the Grand H Canyon by automobile, but new and interesting . scenery all along the trip, with the exception of Hf 2 across the Kaibab forest for about 80 miles, which Bv tJiey can well afford to sec twice. H1 A bill has been introduced into the state leg- i islature, asking for on appropriation of $52,000 V for the completion of this road ready for automo- B bile travel, which with the appropriations already K conceded to the counties on regular road appro- V priations, will, it is believed, prove sufficient to m put the road in a very fair condition. This meas- B ure is being supported by the senators and repre- H? sentatives of the counties of Millard, Beaver, Iron, H Washington, Kane, Garfield, Piute, Sevier and B San Pete, as well as by a number in the northern m part of the state, so that its chances of becoming H a law are very promising. Besides this, the move B has the endorsement of Governor Spry, the State H Road Commission, and the officers of the Salt H, Lnke Commercial Club. The only thing that H J very well could defeat the bill, would be for the Hj representatives and senators of the counties f named to get to differing among themselves. If Hj they present an absolutely solid, unbroken front H; o the question there is hardly a doubt but that Hf the bill will go through. H The trip will be one of the best, from a scenic L standpoint, in the whole country, and will no "'-"doubt prove very popular.- ' V' We hope that this will be the inspiration for HA' a union of the southern forces on other matters of B ' legislation and improvements that affect the wel- H fare of the people.
