Show A STITCH IN TIME This week Iron county ought to have at least half a dozen road drags, even if they were nothing more than split-log drags, and they all ought to have been busy on the roads of the county while the ground was in a proper condition to pack. The steam roller should have been kept busy day and night, also with two shifts if neces- sary. We are not getting the fl benefit out of our road improve- S ments that we are entitled to, H merely for the lack of a little B hustle and enterprise at the psy- H cological period. A lot of the ft graded roads of the county have B been a bed of ruts and dust all B summer, on account of the ft drouth, which ' has prevented I j working them to good advant- I 'age, but if they are bad from ft j now on j.t is chargeable wholly ft to a lacK of enterprise on the ft; part of the supervisors. We ft trust that the roads will be I found to be in good conidtion ft for the balance of the season, I' with the exception, of course, 1' of the new road just being. 1: thrown up. ml " ' ' mm H |
