Show B. A. College News. The students as well as the teachres are thankful that the election is over. The Liberals made a "clean sweep" by a two-thirds two-thirds mojority. The returns of the election was as follows: Hyrum Jones, Mayor; TMartha Langford, Recorder; Corris, Lunt, Treasurer; Willard Can-field, Can-field, Committing Magistrate; Trehorne Leigh, first Judicial Judge; and Joseph C". Smith, second . Judicial Judge. Although Al-though defeat is hard the Pro-gresisves Pro-gresisves can console themselves by knowing that the-men elected are well qualified to run the affairs of our school government. The Hallow'een party given by the Seniors Friday night was a great success. The Auditorium Audi-torium was decorated with numerous num-erous jack-o'lanterns, owls and cats. Ldmonade, cheese and macaroons were-served. We congratulate con-gratulate the seniors on their abilities as entertainers. Saturday and Sunday the teachers made a tour of the neighboring towns in the interest in-terest of the winter course. The faculty was divided into three parties. One party went to New Harmony and Kanarra, one to Parowan, sfad the other to Enoch and Summit. They held meetings in tne different towns. In chapel Tuesday Principal Homer occupied most of the time in explaining to the students the different elationahip.3 which - r exist in school lifp, and how to be best benefitted by them. , Dr. Earl Douglas Holtz, lecturer lec-turer and entertainer, will give the first number on the Lyceum course for the season tonight, Friday. Dr. Holtz is en route from .San Francisco where he will be one of the lecturers at the Worlds Panama Exposition in 1915. .He is very highly recommended and it is expected that he will give us somethinig unusual. The interscholastic basket ball schedule for this league has not yet been definitely arranged. The contesting schools in the league will be, the Murdeck Academv at Beaver, the St. George State Academy and the Branch Agricultural College. |
