Barton, some matters of importance were not decided by the board at their meeting held at the county seat last Monday ' Among these matters was the petition from the Branch Agri- r cultural College, asking that 80 1 acres of land in the Cedar valley acquired by the school for experimental exper-imental purposes be fenced with . a rabbit tight fence, cleared and plowed. Tho matter went over for the session. In the mean time estimates ot tho cost will be obtained. A proposiiton was received - for the improvement of the road from Bear flat to Bull flat, in the Parowan canyon, but was also deferred for action by a full board. The Tron County Record was . awarded the contract for publish-' publish-' F ing the delinquent tax list of the county, on a bid of 12& cents r per name and description. , r A number of claimB were submitted sub-mitted and allowed. ' Commissioners state that if the work is done on the Agricultural Agricul-tural farm, as per petition, it will be necesasry to invade the general expense fund for road improvements, as the county's portion oi the appropriation for the state roads alone this year is i $1,800, and in addition the county has a number of roads to take care of, on which there is no state appropriation, the more expensive of which are the canyon can-yon roads.
