Show iMiss Estella Brown of Nephi is here for a few days with her sister, Mrs. Vinnio Lowo. Royal Reed of Salt Lake City is registered at the Orton Hotel this week. W. A. Evans is spending a few days at his ranch in Bear Valley. He hns a force of men there building fence and putting up hay. Mrs. Mariam Burton entortaincd at dinner last Sunday in honor of Mrs. Delilah Dalton and Ethel Virgil of Los Angeles, who were here visiting. An interesting meeting was held in the tabernacle Monday evening. Morgan Richards and Hans J. Mor-tensen Mor-tensen were the speakers. R. H. McBride of Paragonah was here last Saturday, en route home, taking with him Red Cloud. Mr. McBride Mc-Bride is fitting Red Cloud to run in tho races at the county fair, and as he has made a good record in the past, much is expected of him this year. PAROWAN DEPT. iMrs. Fern Thornton is at home a-gain a-gain after a visit of several weeks in Salt Lake with friends. She was accompanied ac-companied home by her brother Roy and wife and Miss Emma Coclnan, who will remain here for the remainder remain-der of tho summer. tf The Misses Mary and Jano Open-shaw Open-shaw of Paragonah were visitors In Parowan Wednesday. Miss Jane is one of the teachers in the public schools at Oxford, Idaho, and is spending spend-ing tho summer at home with her mother. Wm. H. Gurr is busy moving his stock of goods Into his new building, which is certainly a credit to the town. Drs. Burton and Gower are comfortably located in the offices in the upper part of tho building. The offices are nicely furnlahed and Dr. Burton will have a new operating table and other apparatus in from the east-In a few days. |
