Show Ladies' G. A. Club Gives Social. The Ladies' G. A. Club gavo a social so-cial in the opera house Tuesday evening, ev-ening, August 2, it being just u year since the club was organized. A very pleasant evening was spent in playing games, etc. Mr. George Durham sang, "Mother Mine," which was much appreciated and enjoyed by nil present. Will Richards. was present with his usual amount of wit and originality, and caused a great amount of laughter laugh-ter when he was cnlled upon for n nursery rhyme and gave tho following: follow-ing: Jack and Jill went up the hill To get a pail of water; ; Jack fell down and broke a $5 bill, ' Jill got four and. a quarter. ' An appetising luncheon was served J, and all enjoyed the evening. i fc Among the out-of-town visitors who were present were Mr. and Mrs. Albert Al-bert Wurren and Hyrum Jensen of Salt Lake. .&& Mr. and Mrs. McMullen and Stella lC Brown of Nephi, and Mable Hanks of '- Milford.. |
