Show THEODORE" ROOSEVELT has not yet decided whether he will perpetu-ate perpetu-ate the Progressive party organization organiza-tion for the next presidential election, or disband them and try to dominate the republican conventions. His instructions in-structions to his followers for the present are to maintain a crouching position, and keep their eyes on the bull moose; and when tho moose jumps, be prepared to jump with it. We trust that they will follow his instructions in-structions carefully and to the letter. The Colonel has no speciaj party prin ciples to urgo at this time tho platform plat-form will bo formulated upon tho exigencies ex-igencies of the occasion when the convention con-vention is held. Ho is, however, opposed op-posed to the Wilson administration and pretty much everything that it has done. His field of vision has widened somewhat, however, since four years ago, for he now sees three men besides Theodoro Roosevelt who would fill the bill for president of the United States. They are Justice Charles E. Hughes, Senator Wm. E. Borah of Idaho and Senator A. B. Cummings of Iowa. Four years ago ho could think of no one but Theodore Theo-dore Roosevelt that was suitable. |
