The operation was por- H formed by lr Middleton with the as- H sistance of Drs. Maefarlane nv.d l'. H strom. The operation was apparently H entirely successful and the patient's H condition was hopeful until Tuesday H afternoon, when pneumonia develop''! B and thre patient succumed in twenty- H four hours. B The funeral services will he held in H the Tabernacle Sunday at 2 p. m. Snli I aba Cite Msiv r. 1850. her H parents, Isaac Chauncy and EIlM H Ann Haight, with two sisters, Caro- H line Arthur and Keturah Macfarlanc B Parry, were pioneers, entering Salt H Lake Valley in September, 1847. B In ISM her father was called to H Cedar City to take charge to the iron H works. At the age of three years she B came here with her parents, and has B resided here ever since. H Sister Parry knew all the joys and HH sorrows of poineering a new country. H The fortunate thing of her life was B that she remembered the joys and H saw the good in every incident, person H and thing she met. As a girl she took B part in the social life and was a mem- H tier of the choir and other organiza- H On January 11, 1869, she was mar- B ried to John Parry. They were the H parents of ten children, Ave sons and H live daughters, nine of whom survive H At the time of her husband's death, H March 17, 1911), she was suffering B from a severe attack caused from gall HB stones. Tho grief caused by the part H ing with a noble companion and the H constant trouble with her ailment pre H vented her from getting strong. Early in December she suffered the second H severe attack. When she recovered H sufficiently Mhc wanted to have an op- H eration to remove the cause of her H trouble, but after a successful opera- BH tion pneumonia set in as above stated H and her death followed quickly. H Si.slci Parry was one of the best M respected ladies in the community and Swfl for a long while when in her prime H was a prominent figure in social and H ecclesiastical circles. She is survived B by a large progeny of highly respected jHJ children and the .sympathy of the HBV tire community goes out to them in the loss of their mother. |
