Show I GOLD STRIKE DISTRICT IS GREAT COUNTRY Equal to Goldfield. Nevada, in the Option of E. J. Kddards of This Place. E. J. Kddards returned the fore part of tris week from the Goldstnke district dis-trict of Washington county, where he spent four days in prospecting, sampling samp-ling and experting the mineral zone. He brought hack many rich samples, some of wrich are literally plastered ' with free gold. He says that it is the j greatest gold district he was ever in, and besides taking options on some if the partially developed properties, he made a number of new locations 1 on rich gold-learing veins. Mr. Kildards, who has had a lifetime life-time experience in various mining localities, lo-calities, is excited as a schoolboy ov- er his discoveries, and says all he , wants is money enough to install a two stamp mill with battery and plates and he can grind out all the gold he will ever care for. He states that there is a gold-bearing dyke of hematite hem-atite iron 'T feet between walls, which yields as line a string of colors at every ev-ery pawning as one would caie to see; ' and that out of dozens of homings mftde over a distance of three miles along the gold belt he never encoun tered ;i single "skunk." Mr. ESddards states that the geology and mineralisation of Goldstrike is very similar and in every way the equal of Goldfield, Nevada, with which camp he is very familiar. Mr. Eddardl left for Salt Lake City terday afternoon on business connected con-nected with the snle of the Ora Dell Hay group and other mining propel ties hi which he is interested, including includ-ing iron, and hopes to return with money fur the development of his new find, which he regards as being of ( paramount importance |
