Show GOOD SNOW FALL ON THE CEDAR MOUNTAIN Joseph S. nnd Carlos Fife made a trip over the Cedar Mountain last week to tffiog out a bunch of horses Which were snow-bound in three different dif-ferent localities. They found and brought out 18 head belonging to a number of different Cedar City people. peo-ple. It required four days to make the trip to their sawmill and return. The snow was very solid and hard crusted. On their way they made the following follow-ing measurements of the depth of the snow at variouus places: On top of the mountain, 10 inches; on Urie's (reek, 20 inches; Webster's Flat to Pan Stephen's ranch, 24 inches. On the same date last year the deepest snow encountered was 112 inches loose snow, so that the prospects for water next summer are very encouraging. |
