Show IRK OF IN CO;" RED CROMPe President QgQTgS Mitchell Addresses Ad-dresses Communication to Workers of County. WORDS OF COMMENDATION FOR WHAT HAS BBtN DONE Important Suggestions to Officers and Workers of the Chapter and Local Organizations are Given. The officers of the Iron County Chapter of the American Red Cross are delighted with the work do,c thus far. The women folks, especially are to be commended for their most excellent ex-cellent effort. From every branch and auxiliary come reports of Rood work. In most cases the supplies committee members are pleased with the quality of work. The older women wom-en have led out in the knitting but many of the younger classes are now learning. The first shipment sent out this week tells a story of loyalty on the part of the women of Iron County. That the people might know a little of the operations of the Chapter and what is expected of them the chairman chair-man has the following to report and suggestions to offer: Knnarra, Enoch and Hamilton's Fort make their reports, obtain materials ma-terials from the Chapter and ship out articles, through the Cedar City Branch. The Cedar City Branch is independent of the Chapter in the matters of receiving materials from Denver, and shipping articles to Denver. Den-ver. All other communities of the County do business direct with Chapter Chap-ter Headquarters at Parowan. As a mutter of convenience Cedar and Parowan Par-owan will do their packing and shipping ship-ping together as much as possible. Each community is for the present at least, independent financially of the Chapter. No portion of membership member-ship dues or contributions collected in any branch will be sent to the Chapter except on order of the Executive Ex-ecutive Committee. Denver's portion of membership dues 50 cents, for an-nual an-nual and $1.25 for magazine, must be reported to the Chapter. Materials purchased through the Chapter must be paid for by the Branch ordering. All other money of the Branch may I"' spent locally for the purchase of materials and payment of incidental expenses. Strict accounting to the Chapter must be made, however, at the end of each month. Every community should have a finance -committee whose duty it is to raise money in such n way as best tits the particular town. A eanvasJ )'r subscriptions, giving parties, auction auc-tion sales of salvage articles are sug gestivc. The men should feel an especial es-pecial concern in this wtork, as the women have plenty to do with the knitting needles and sewing machines. If old materials are used the art'.':'; made are useful and the. demand for money will be lessened. E"ery branch should be alive to the work, and meet :'ll demands. There are a few people In every community who were away during the membership drive, for toilM other reason have not yet joined the ffYMi organization.
