Thousands of people from all over America will bo in attendance, and Utah, the pioneer in irrigation, is jBtriving to make tho event a memorable dno, an epoch in tho i history of arid farming. i All the counties of the state are i reqestedg to send one of their j most beautiful Women to act as ! Maid of Honor to the Queen and occupy a place on her gorgeous I electric float. Iron, county wants ' a maid, and the county commis- sioncra have asked Tho Record to assist in tho contest to determine deter-mine who the people prefer for tho honor. In uddition, thd commisioners want two maids to occupy places' on tho float which will repro-sont repro-sont this county. The sum of $800 has been appropriated for the construction of the float, which will bo built on the trucks of a streot car. It will bo decidedly de-cidedly elaborate, blazing with electricity and Will portay tho resources of Iron county. Tho young lady receiving the largest number of votes will be chosen us Maid of Honor to the Queon.nnd tho two receiving tho noxt highest number of votes will bo selected as maids for the float. Tho manes of several ypung ladies have been .suggested, but all have an equal show. Below is a nominating cupon good for 1000 votes. Use it for sending in a name. You will also find another an-other ballot good for five votes, i Additional ballots, may be secured secur-ed at The Record office or the office of Commissioner J. H. Arthur, for one cent each. The money derived from the sale of ballots will be used to assist in paying the expenses of the three young women.each of whom will receive $35 for that purose.
