Show 1 The Normal School Tho 1912-13 term of tho Branch Normal ( opens within a few weeks. According to those in , charge of accommodations for students, the attend- j ance at the coming term promises to be greater! than ever before in the history of the school. It is but right and proper that the Branch Normal should show a material increase with each succed-ing succed-ing year. It is tho only statc-Bupported combined high school and collego south of Salt Lake City. Tho University, and tho Agricultural College both aro in the northern part of the state, leaving the southern part with but the Branch Normal as a stato school giving a semi-college course of instruction. The Branch Normal is thoroughly equipped to give instruction in the perscribed course. The laboratory is a model of perfection and arrangement, arrange-ment, the reference library is one of tho mots complete in the state, tho machine shop contains tho latest improved macinery, among which is the largest latho in any school in the state. The gymnasium is provided with the latest apparatus for tho dovelopement of the body of the student, and in no feature is tho school second to, any in tho country in its field. The buildings and equipment represent an expenditure of nearly $250,000, and each legislature legisla-ture generously appropriates additional funds to meet the growing demands of the school. The Branch Normal is central for tho southern south-ern part of the stato and tho natural educational center cen-ter for an immense territory, and tho result is a constantly con-stantly increasing interest in the work of the school. Students attending tho school have the benefits ben-efits of a healthy climato, roligiousienvironment, and best of all, the influence of oueof the most moral communities in tho state, and one tht is not excelled by any collogo town in tho country. |
