Show DIXIE POWER LINE MAN MEETS DEATH Touches Live Wire With Hand and Falls on Rock Embankment 25 Feet Below. William Baxter, nn employe of tho Dixie Power Co., met death last Friday through falling from nn electric elec-tric light pole. Ho had been putting a fuse in a transformer somo little distnncc from the plant and had just started to descent the pole when Ills touched a livo wire with one of his hands, causing him to fall backwards. Ho fell about .twenty-five feet and landed on a rock embankment, striking strik-ing it with his fnee, breaking both jaws, a leg and causing other great injuries. This happened nlwntt ten a. m. and the unfortunnto man survived sur-vived his terrible injuries until 1:20 p. m. the same day. He did not recover re-cover consciousness. The remains were brought to this city. William Baxter was born at Silver Reef, this county, 42 years ago Inst April. His mother, Mrs. Eliza 13 Baron, is living somewhere in California Calif-ornia and could not get here in timo for the funeral. His wife died about a year ago. Two sisters are also living in California, and nnother sister, sis-ter, Mrs. Ella Oxburrow, who lives at Lund, Nevada, was at the funeral. His father died several years ago. He is survived by three sons, Pred, 18 years old, David 10, and Albert 12. William Bazter was a man who was highly respected, honest, industrious and upright in nil his denlings.
