The last chapel of this school year was opened by two band 'selections, 'se-lections, and two vocal solos by Ren Luke. Then the track boys who made the extraordinary throws and jumps at the state meet were asked to explain how they came to sur-l pass their usual records. The rest of the period was turned over to Principal Homer, who, dressed in' his white sweater with the school emblem, looked as "sporty" as the' boys. He made an eloquent appeal ' to students to try to appreciate the full significance of the school cm-' blem, and to do the hard work necessary nec-essary to go "over the top", and win laurels in every line of school activity.' Mr. Homer assured us that in leaving the B. A. C. he is not going to sever connection with us, but will still be in a position to work for our welfare, and that he will always al-ways consider it a great pleasure to do so. Wednesday oftcrnoon the students stud-ents gave an afternoon party in honor of Mr. Homer. They presented pre-sented him with an elegant leather brief case, after which they enjoyed en-joyed a short program and ended with a dancing matinee. |
