The following notes are a few examples of the aspirations of thirty primary pupils whose teacher gave them as a subject for a composition the sentence, sen-tence, "What would you do if you were rich?" These three were written by boys: "If I was rich I would buy the finest automobile auto-mobile in the world and git my father elected policeman po-liceman to keep me from being aristed for fast racing." "I would build a yot and travel a grate deal. I would mabbe discover the north pole or something.'"' some-thing.'"' "If I had enuif money to do wliat I pleased I would go abrod aud capture wild animals an' git . together a show bigger than any even seen so far. I would let all boys go in free." . The girls showed an inclination for more selfish- -gratification, except iu the case of the. following: follow-ing: "If I was rich I would buy a big island and build the biggest mansion ifl the world. Then I would adopt all the orfins and give them a good : time all their life." "I would live in a fine hotel -and have a lot of servants to dress me and drive me around. I would have the finest dresses in the city. I would marry the handsomest man in the world." "If I had a milyon dollas I would build a marble house in the park with a soda water fountain in it and a fonograf.
