Show IDAHO FALLS, IDA. (Special Correspondence.) The congregation was agreeably surprised sur-prised when they entered the church last Sunday. It was late last Friday when the finishing 'touches were bestowed be-stowed upon the interior, and there waa but one general verdict fiom all, via: how lovely; we have now the most beautiful church in town. f There will be high mass upon Xmas ; eve. The choir will render Wueith's ! Mass in C. Miss Mabel Coltman will be the leading soprano and there is ' no doubt she will keep up her reputa- ; tion as a talented musician. I Mr. John Conigan, from the sugar factory, was a welcome visitor to the Falis. f The contest for the catechism premium pre-mium has been postponed till after Xmas, as all desire to compete for it. A certain boy whose motto appears to be "Excelsior" challenged his papa to puzzle him on the proposed questions. Needless to narrate, he passed to his papa's delight, only the urchin claimed he was stricter than the pastor. Mr. J. Magann, who does most of the carpenter work at the sugar factory, will start to build his own home. It has been only a few months since he came to this town and has struck it rich, as he says. He has bought a five-acre tract close to town and will start in the poultry business. Mr. Edward Martin of the Butte cafe has been unusually busy of late. It would look as if he had to supply the town with Xmas cakes. 4 - Another new candy factory has started start-ed here. No wonder our folks are sweet. |
