Show TRY NEW INVENTION. Claimed That It Will Obviate the Danger of Collisions. Sherman Hobson. a railroad man of Denver, has invented an applianr which it is believed will help to reduc i the danger of collisions. He calls the apparatus a mirageoscope. The new appliance is an arrangement of mirrors mir-rors which enables the engineer as! fireman to see the track for six mi!, both front and rear. It is claimed that it makes no difference dif-ference whether the track is stralgh: or making a curve. The instrument works on the principle of a miraeas'1 gives a perfect view of objects for the distance named. The invention has been tried with success on the Denver & Rio Grande and the Colorado Midland, Mid-land, and tests are also to be made on the Colorado Southern and the Missouri Pacific. |
