Editor Intermountain Catholic: My Dear Sir Replving to vour favor asking my approval of The Intermountain Catholic since its establishment in this diocese, I will state that I consider the founding of a Catholic paper in Salt Lake not the least of the manv blessings bestowed be-stowed by Providence ou the Church here during the past two years, its birth occurred oc-curred at an opportune times. Its zeal in propagating Catholic truth has had. fcince its inception, my hearty though talent approval. I believe with Our Holy-Father Holy-Father that "a good Catholic journal is a ferpett;al mission in ti parish." and that t will serve as a question box, at all times, for anxious inquirers. In mv visitations vis-itations 1 shall hope to find The lnter-mountnio lnter-mountnio Catholic in th homes of every Catholic family, its mission is to espouse es-pouse truth, justice and morality, and all devoted priests will fina in it an able co-' co-' operator in their missionary work. It is my wish that all my priests and the laity entrusted to my charge should encourage your noble effort and that of the generous gen-erous founder of The Intermountain Catholic.
