Show A CHABMING AFFAIR. Mrs. P. S. Keogh's Reception in Honor of Miss 2Iester Lavelle. Perfect in its -appointments and delightful de-lightful in every way was the afternoon after-noon reception given on Thursday by Mrs. P. S. Keogh in honor of charming Miss Hester Lavelle, niece of Mr. and Mrs.' A. H. Tarbet. Mrs. Keogh was assisted in entertaining enter-taining by Mrs. A. H. Tarbet, Mrs. E. A. Wall, Mrs. Thomas Kearns. Mrs. Joseph Young, Mrs. S. H. Pinkerton, , Mrs. Ezra Thompson, Mrs. J. B. Eddie, Mrs. Hudson Smith, Mrs. William Mc-Dermott. Mc-Dermott. Mrs. Harry "Joseph and Mrs. James F. Dunn. Among the young girls who were assisting in the dining room and at the punch bowl were Miss Annie Adams-, Miss Evy Thomas, Miss LeighBlock, Miss Carrie Sappington, Miss Donnelly, Miss Tompkins, Miss Cosgriff, Miss Gibbons and Miss Cowan. Cow-an. The parlors were decorated in red and green, and. red lights added to the j color scheme. In the dining1 room white and green alone were used, car nations and chrysanthemums being most effectively arranged, runch was served in the alcove, and the table, with its decorations of smilp.x. was a perfect picture. A small tea table in the same room was decorated entirely in violets. The hall was draped with American flags, and an orchestra on the upper landing furnished delightful music. Over 300 invitations had been issued and the home was lilled with guests during the hours of the afternoon. after-noon. A delightfully informal time was enjoyed by all present. Mrs. Keogh being considered by her many friends to be the most gracious and charming of hostesses. |
