The plan for an interna in-terna t.-jr.al labor federation was enthusiastically enthusi-astically received by the convention of the American Federation of Labor today. This international alliance was proposed by James U'Gradyv traternal delegate to the federation from the cabinetmakers and upholsterers of Great Britain, who urged that the laboring element in 'England 'Eng-land and America woric together in harmony. har-mony. Delegate O'Gri.riy's plan was sup-pot sup-pot ud by James Simpson of Toronto, a member of the International Typographical Typograph-ical union. Mayor Collins tonight entertained the delegates to the convention at a banquet in Faneuil hall. Addresses were delivered by Mayor Collins, President Samuel Gompers and many of the delegates. |
