Like- : wise Miss Florence Kelly showed herself her-self to be the possessor of an alto of much promise. At the low masses the music consisted of Christmas carols and solos, Mrs. M. J. McGill, in addition addi-tion to the singers above named, lending lend-ing the aid of her silvery, soprano to produce the harmonious results, her j singing of the O Salutaris giving spe- cial pleasure. Mr. Kelly's rendering of J the "Holy City" was all that the most fastidious could desire, awaking, as It did, a devotional spirit in all whoflis- I tened to it. Miss Malone, as organist ' and director of the choir, was at her ' best as to time, expression and sympathetic sympa-thetic . accompaniment, the combined musical effect of voice and instrument being such as to win from the reverend pastor, . Father Galligan, an appreciative apprecia-tive . and . Justly merited tribute of praise. Rev. Father Galligan preached an eloquent sermon after each mass Christmas day.
