Show The growth of the Catholic church in I England during the last decade of years has been phenomenal. There are sixteen dioceses in England and in 1901 the number of conversions was approximated ap-proximated at 20,000. The smallest dio-ci-se, that of Salford, had 1,300 conversions conver-sions to its credit, whilst Cardinal Vaughan reported 1,900 conversions in his archdiocese. In the archdiocese of New York over 5,000 converts join the i hurch annually. The Anglo-Saxons at home and abroad, though slow to see the truth, are ready to embrace it when convinced. The first essential step is to view the question impartially, divest I one's mind of all prejudice, seek for the truth and the aforesaid members would be quadrupled every year. |
