Show Intertnountaitt news BUTTE, MONT. The game of sixty-three was the feature in chief of a very charming card party given by Mrs. D. J. Hen-nessy Hen-nessy recently when she threw open her doors to fifty cf her friends, who enjoyed a most delightful evening: at her beautiful home. American beauty ' roses and sweet peas in profusion decorated the parlor and dining room, while glowing gladioli gladi-oli added their quota of beauty to the reception room. . The prizes were handsome and the Irefreshments delicious, deli-cious, everything -combining to make a most enjoyable evening. The first prize for ladies, an exquisite exqui-site piece of Intarsjo ware, was won by Mrs. John S. Hafris; the second, a Royal Bonn vase, went to Mrs. James Finlen. ' The first prize for 'men, a Bohemian jardiniere vase, was presented to Mr. James Finlen, while1 the second, a cut glass decanter, rent to Doctor I. Freund. ' A social hour and some impromptu music ended an unusually pleasant evening. i At the regular meeting of division 2 of the lady's auxiliary of the A. O. H., held Thursday night nf last week, Mrs. B. The table was laid with a cloth handsomely embroidered in La France roses, the serviettes being done in the same, and in the center of the. table was a cut glass bowl filled with La France roses. A bountiful menu was served, the guests lingering at the table until -a late hour. They were: Rev. Father Murphy, Rev. Father Ahern, Mrs. Ignatius Donnelly, Don-nelly, Misses Annie and Julia Ward, Miss Leona Mullin, Mr. J. Murray and Mr. Beard of Rochester, N. Y., and the host and hostess. |
