Show HELENA NOTES. Miss Annie Dillon of Marysville spent a few days in Helena last week. Mrs. A. Lockwood of Butte is visiting visit-ing at the home of Major McGuiness and family. -Mrs. John B. Agen, accompanied by her husband, has returned to her home at Seattle, after a pleasant visit of two weeks in Helena. Little Miss Marguerite McCarthy has returned to her home, after a ten days' delightful visit at Fort Benton. The remains of the late Mrs. Margaret Mar-garet Walsh were buried from, the Cathedral Ca-thedral Saturday morning. Aug. 11. Mass was offered for the repose of her soul at 10 o'clock. Father Van de Velde officiated at the church and Rev. Father Aken at the grave. Herman, the undertaker, had charge of the funeral. fu-neral. Father La Pon.ie of Medicine Medi-cine Kat, Canada, spent several days in Helena last week. This is the reverend, rev-erend, gentleman's first visit to Montana, Mon-tana, and he. Is delighted with it. He left here Monday for Anaconda to spend a few days, taking in the great copper city. Father Rebmann of Spokane closed a very successful retreat last week at St. Vincent's Academy. He is now at Anaconda, . conducting the retreat at St. Ann's Hospital for the Sisters. At its close he will return to Helena to conduct the retreat for the priests in th diocese of Montana, which will begin be-gin Monday, Aug. 21, at the Sacred Heart Cathedral, and close Friday morning following. ' Father Blaere of Marysville and Fr. O'Farrell of Townsend were visitors at the episcopal residence last week. -vt ... Miss Margaret Gleason. well known in Helena, is to be married in the near future to Mr. John Rasslyton of Butte. The ceremony will take place at the Sacred Heart Cathedral. Married Last Saturday, Aug. 11, Mr. John Caruso of Clancy to Miss Mary Angela Paola. The bride has lately arrived ar-rived from Italy. The ceremony was performed by Rev. Father Aken. |
