Show BILLINGS. Death of Mike Hannihan, Billings, Mont.. Aug. 0. Mike Han-nahan. Han-nahan. one of the old settlers of this city, died yesterday and was buried today, to-day, the funeral being held from the Catholic church, conducted by Rev. Father Heltman. and attended by a large concourse of friends. The deceased de-ceased had been in poor health for several sev-eral months and his death was not entirely en-tirely unexpected. Mr. Hannihan was known to nearly everyone here. He came to Billings from Minnesota in 1S82 with the Northern Pacific railway, he being a section foreman on the work of construction of that road. In lSS;i he started a saloon on the south side and was the owner ever since up to the time of his death, with the exception excep-tion of two years, when he was away from Billings. He was unmarried, but an aged aunt. Mrs. Nally, made her home with him, and Mr. Hannihan ha: remembered her nicely in his will. He had accumulated considerable wealth, comprising money and real estate. Besides Be-sides the aunt Mr. Hannihan had a sister residing in the east, and she is also remembered in the will. The deceased de-ceased was a kind and benevolent person, per-son, and many charitable acts havo been his. |
