Show SISTER ROSE VINCENT'S TWENTY-FIFTH ANNIVERSARY. Saturday, Aug. 11, Sister Rose Vin- ; cent, Superioress of St. Joseph's Or- ! phanage, celebrated her .twenty-fifth anniversary in the Sisterhood. Bishop i Brondel officiated at Holy Mass at the Home in the morning in honor of the event. All the Sisters and children ! were present, as were also three of the Sisters from St. Vincent's Academy, who assisted the children with the music mu-sic and. singing. Sister Rose Vincent was made extremely ex-tremely happy by the numerous congratulations con-gratulations tendered by the Bishop, the Sisters and all the little orphans. who tried to show in their simple, childlike manner their love and gratitude grati-tude for her. The children and Sisters presented her with a spiritual bouquet and other numerous tokens of affection affec-tion and appreciation. Sister Rose Vincent Vin-cent has many warm friends in this vicinity vi-cinity who kindly remembered her on this occasion. The Ladies' Literary and Benevolent Society, represented by Mesdames J. Yund, J. A. Walsh and Misses Derham and Pauley, presented her with $25 in silver in honor of the event of her silver jubilee. The following card was attached to the gift, bearing the date xf her entrance en-trance into the Order of the Sisters of Charity, Aug. 11. 1875. and the date Aug. 11. 1900, of the celebration: "To Dear Sister Rose Vincent, with love and best wishes for a long life and continuance in good works. From the Ladies' Catholic Literary and Benevolent Be-nevolent Society." The Rev. Father Rebmann. S. J., of Spokane, Wash., was a guest at the Home with the Bishop on the occasion. |
