Show : pueblo? ! Humbert Memorial Services. Elaborate preparations are being made by the United Italian societies of Pueblo, for memorial services to be held on Sunday. Aug. 2i. commemorative commemora-tive of the late King Humbert, who was killed by an assassin. The ser-vives ser-vives will be of a civic and religious nature and will be participated in by not alone the four societies that have united for the exercises, but by large numbers of Italian born citizens living in and about Pueblo. Invitations have been sent to Gov. Thomas and the state ofTicoials. to the mayor and city officials of Pueblo and to the county commissioners and other county officials, and it is expected to make the day and the occasion one of much impressiveness. The various societies so-cieties will form at a central point in the city and with a brass band, playing play-ing appropriate music, "will proceed to the old -Armory hall. There addresses in English and Italian will be delivered by prominent citizens including, it Is hoped, a speech by Dr. Cuneo "of Denver, Den-ver, the Italian consul. At the conclusion of the exercises there the column will again be formed and move ti .St. Patrick's Church on the mesa, where memorial services according ac-cording to the rites of the Catholic Church will be held. There will be elaborate choral music -by a number of the best voices in the state. The arrangements ar-rangements are in charge of a conf-mittee conf-mittee of prominent Italians of the city, of which M. Jachetta is the chairman. |
