Show Obituary. Schiebel. After .a long illness. Miss Carrie Schiebel passed away at the residence of her siiter, Mrs. Richard Stephens, on Spring Creek. Fr.iday evening, June . 24, at 5:50 o'clock. - During her long illness ?he was a. very patient and uncomplaining suf- j feier. Her untimely death will be a sad Uov to her many friends. The funeral took place Sunday afternoon after-noon at 2 o'clock, from the' Catholic church, and was largely attended. Rev. Father Columban officiated and delivered de-livered the funeral sermon, which was 'a -beautiful tribute to the life and character of the deceased, and a fitting contribution to the tones of the bell of St. Aloysius' church, tolled in her memory. The floral offerings were many and , beautiful. The pall bearers were members mem-bers of the M. W. of A., and consisted of the following: R. P. Smith, Geo. T. Payne, Jos. Schnell. John Schiebel, Edward Speer and Orin Baker. Members Mem-bers of the R. X. of A. met in a body and walked to the cemetery. A devoted daughter and loving sister has gone to rest, and may her last sleep be peaceful. Sturgis Record. ' The deceased was the sister of Mrs. j P. J. McKenna and Mis's Schiebel of j this city. The patient submission with which she bore her sufferings was a daily inspiration, and the memory of her beautiful life will long linger in the hearts of those who knew her best. May God comfort the bereaved relatives in their sorrow, with the remembrance re-membrance that their loved, one has passed to God's sunshine, at peace forever! for-ever! I I Werner. ' Mrs. Theresa A. Werner died at the home of her daughter in Murray last Saturday of obstruction of the bowels, at the age of 63 years. Mrs. Werner was the widow of August Werner, who built the Germania smelter. She was an old resident of that part of the county, well known to a wide circle and highly respected for her many sterling qualities. She leaves three married daughters. The deceased was a highly esteemed woman, who endeared en-deared herself to all. She was a woman of simple, innocent inno-cent character, generous in word and deed, a loving and devoted mother." Genuine sorrow will be felt by all for a sterling woman has passed away. The sympathy of many friends hs extended ex-tended to the bereaved family, who mourn the loss of a mother, whose beautiful life will ever be to them a bleased memory. I Watson S. Pierce died last Saturday after a brief illness. The deceased had been a resident of this city for many years. I He was born in Vermont and served through the civil war in a command from that state. Mr. Pierce was a member of Maxwell Max-well Post G. A. R., under whose auspicea the funeral was held. The announcement cf the death of Mr. Pierce caused sincere regret among many friends, j He was a man of kindly, genial manner man-ner and won friends in all walks of life. A large number attended his funeral on Sunday afternoon to pay a last tribute of love to the man whom they I had learned to admire as a courteous, i polished, gentleman. May God in his tender mercy sustain the bereaved wife, who is now left alone! j |
