Frank Judge has returned from several weeks spent at San Rafael, Cal. Mrs. Judge will return today. Dr. and Mrs. W. D. Donoher entertained enter-tained a party of friends Monday by taking them to dinner at Idlewild. The guests were Miss Mildred McMillan, Fred Smith and Archie Milner. J. G. Doolittle, general agent for the Rock Is'.and. has gone to Denver to attend at-tend a meetinng of the officers of that road. Mr. and Mrs. L. B. McCornick entertained enter-tained Tuesday night at a large dance at the Country club in honor of Mr and Mrs. O. J. Salisbury. Mrs. John T. Woodward entertained at a dance Thursday night at the Judge country home, "The Cobbles," in honor of Mr. and Mrs. O. J. Salisbury. Miss Eleanore Crawford will visit in Park City next week. Joseph Geoghegan has gone to Europe on a brief business trip. Miss Margery Mulvey is having a delightful de-lightful visit with friends in Grand Junction. Mrs. E. A. Wall entertained the members mem-bers of the Utopia club at luncheon at the Country club Wednesday. Mrs. John E. Woodward was hostess Thursday night at a dance, at the Judge country home, "The Cobbles," for her guest. Miss Dorothy Kinney. Herman Siegel, son of I. Gibson and daughter have returned from spending several weeks in Oakland, Cal., where they visited Mrs. Gibson's sister, Mrs. N. P. Gray. The Misses Lucy and Marguerite! Quinn left Wednesday for Hagerman, Ida., where they will be the guests of the Misses Curran. Mrs. John E. Woodward entertained a party of young people at a dinner at the Country club Monday night, when covers were laid for Miss Dorothy Kinney, Kin-ney, Miss Gertrude McGrath, Miss Anna McCornick, C. W. whitley. P. L. Williams, jr., Mr. H. Simpson and C. S. McDonald. Mrs. Katherine Belcher and her son, Paul, will be at home for the summer at No. 6 Kensington apartments. Mr. and Mrs. Edward J. Roberts will shortly be at home in their new fiat in the Bungalow apartments on Third East street. Mrs. Brig Cannon's mother and brother and sister, Mrs. Farrell, Howard How-ard Farrell and Miss Irene Farrell of Omaha, will be here shortly to spend a part of the summer with the Cannons. Assistant Fire Chief Fitzgerald left Monday on his annual vacation, during which he will visit his old home at Bloomington, 111., and Chicago. He may also visit New York before his return. W. S. McCornick, accompanied by Mrs. McCornick, will sail from New York on the 10th bound for Carlsbad, Germany, where they will spend the next two months. Mr. McCornick left for New York on Sunday last, and Mrs. McCornick had already preceded him there.. Miss Mahoney and Miss Kellar, the popular proprietors of the Wonder Millinery, Mil-linery, are now located in their handsome hand-some new store in the McChryetal building. This location may be considered con-sidered permanent, the lease being for ten years. J. D. Sullivan and family are now located lo-cated in their new home on East First South. Miss Gladys Hegney and Miss Mar-geret Mar-geret Connolley will spend next month at "Wasatch. Miss Venus Romney will give a dancing danc-ing party in the near future. Mrs. J. C. Daly entertained the mem bers of her sewing club Tuesday at her home. Lester D. Freed left for the furniture centers of the east Monday, to be gone several weeeks on a buying trip. Mrs. Thomas Homer and her little daughter left Friday for Los Angeles, and later for San Francisco and Seattle. The Misses Lillian and Maud Fitch are in town from Tintic, the former the guest of Miss Marge Miller and the latter lat-ter visiting the McCornick family. Mrs. W. M. O'Brien and her family are at their country home near "The Cobbles," where they entertained a large party of children with a display of fireworks on Monday evening. Mrs. E. A. Wall was hostess Wednesday Wednes-day at the Country club for the members mem-bers of the Utopia club and a few other guests at a prettily appointed luncheon, followed by bridge, when prizes were won by Mrs. W. F. Beer, Mrs. J. J. Daly, Mrs. P. S. Keogh, Mrs. Joseph Young, Mrs. C. C. Crismon and Mrs. C. M. Bell. The luncheon table was most attractively decorated in shasta daisies and ferns. The club will meet again Wednesday, July SI, with Mrs. J. W. Houston. Miss Hilda Greeson was one of the hostesses of Wednesday, entertaining a 500 party in honor of Miss Cora Little, an August bride. The pretty decorations decora-tions were of flags and red, white and blue flowers. The color scheme was effectively ef-fectively carried out in the dainty refreshments re-freshments served later. The young hostess was assisted by Miss Mary Jen-klnson Jen-klnson and Miss Norah Sheckels. Prizes were won by Miss Meryle Lynch and the guest of honor. Miss Lydia White came home Friday from two weeks spent in Park City, the guest of Miss Ruth Treweek. |
