Reiliey and family will spend the next month in Pharoah's Glen. , Mrs. Joseph Dederich and . daughter, Gertrude, have returned to Salt Lake from Denver. They will shortly return re-turn to their home in Los Angeles. Mis. C. C. Slade and daughter, Kath-erine, Kath-erine, have returned from Wasatch. Miss Lou Hays and Miss Myrtle Me-Evoy Me-Evoy will spend (he next month at Brighton. Mr. and Mrs. S. J. Murray and Miss Mabel Crowley will leave Saturday night for Yellowstone. Mrs. J. G. Doolittle and her children are at Redondo Beach spending the summer. Lynn S. Gilman has returned from a visit to his home in Minneapolis. Miss Mary Smedley returned Monday Mon-day evening from three months spent in the east visiting her sister in St. Joseph, Mo., and other relatives and friends. Mr. and Mrs. Charles Simms. formerly for-merly of this city, but now of Atchison, Atchi-son, Kan., are spending a few days at the Knutsford. Later Mr. Simms will go home and his wife will be the guest of Mrs: W. L. Green in the Emery flats for a week or two. Mrs. Frank J. Westcott and Miss Florence May are in Cody. Wyo., spending several weeks with friends. James O. Salisbury and his guests. Mr. Newman and Mr. Armstrong of New York, have gone to the Salisbury ranch in Idaho for a short stay. Thomas A. Homer returned Tuosday from an extended trip in the east. He attended the Elks' convention and the Jamestown exposition, making the trip from Philadelphia to Norfolk by sea. Mr. Homer also visited his nephew, John L. Homer, who is in school at West Point. Mrs. C. E. Reilly and her daughters have returned, from Brighton, where they have spent the past few weeks. . Mrs. C. H. Dunn, who has spent the winter in California, has returned and is at home in Bingham. Mr. and Mrs. C. -A. Nichols entertained enter-tained a number of their friends Tuesday Tues-day evening at their residence. 309 South Fifth East street, in honor of Miss Harriet Louise McKellar and Joseph Jo-seph T. Thomstorff. whose wedding is to take place soon. Mrs. Charles H. Stevenson has gone to Brighton to he a guest for a few days at the Brown cottage. Miss Katharine Purcell left Thurs-' day for New York and will be away a month or so. Miss Gertrude Goghcgan entertained Wednesday evening at a porch party for Miss Mary Walsh of New York. Shaver. Mrs. Brennan. Mr. and Mrs. Mahon. Edwa-d Fitzpatrick and D. A. Fitzpatrick. Mr O'Meara left on Tuesday for his home in Cincinnati, the former home of Mr. and Mrs Fitzpatrick. Mrs. F. L. Hines and daughter. Delia, have, returned from six weeks in the east, where they visited Lieut. Hines at Fortress Monroe and Charles Hines at West Point. Mr. and Mrs. D. R. Gray will on September 1 move into their new home on S street. Mrs. Porter Sinclair returned dining the week from three months soe.nt in Oakland. Cal. Airs. James Hughes of St. Anthony. Ida., accompanied by her little daughter, daugh-ter, has come, to Salt Lake to make her home and is temporarily at the Wilson. Mr. and Mrs. Harry Weaver have just returned from a week's visit to Brighton. Mrs. Mat hew Cullen is spending a lew days in Colo-ado. Mr. Leo Marix has returned from California and is with his siter, Mrs. David Murray. Mrs. Fred I. Leonard and baby are spending a few days at Pacific Grove, I T. H. Fitzgerald and J. A. Malvill. of the Utah Inigation and Power company com-pany have returned from a two weeks' visit to the east. Miss Noble entertained at luncheoii last week for Mrs. Stall-Smith, who is visiting .Mrs. Fifild. Covers were laid for eight. Mrs. Sailie R. Pointer and Mrs. Le-ro;,- Palmer and little daughter are here spending' a few days with Mis. Clint B. Leigh. Mr. ar.d Mrs. J. D. Wood and their daughter. Cassandra, have gone to Seattle, Se-attle, Alaska and other places in the Pacific northwest and will be away a month or more. Mrs. L. C. Robinson entertained twenty -five at a 4 o'clock tea Saturday at her home in honor of Mrs. John E. Woodward, who has gone on an exte::d-d exte::d-d trip through Europe. Decorations, were yellow nasturtiums and Mrs. Robinson Rob-inson was assisted by Mrs. D. C. Roberts, Rob-erts, Miss Judge and Miss Noble. Mrs. C. E. Parsons left yesterday for ner home in Denver, after spending several sev-eral weeks in this city with her mother. moth-er. Mrs. Sarah McChrystal. Mr. and Mrs. William Murphv and family and Miss Dorothy Gilmer will leave during the fore part of the week for Big Cottonwood canyon, where they will spend a fortnight. The Misses Myrtle and Estelle Reilly and Ethel and Elizabeth MacDonald returned Wednesday from a ten days' outing at Brighton. Miss Mollie McDonald of Leadville, Colo., is visiting Mrs. John Reilly, 417 Church street. Mr. and Mrs. George R. Smith will shortly be at home to their friends at 615 East Fifth South street. Hal-loran, Hal-loran, president of the Commeni-i club, and one of the best known business bus-iness men of Salt Lake City. She is 18 years of age. and has soent the Inst two years at St.. Mary's at No ire Dame, Ind. Miss Halloran and Mrs. Woodward sailed from New York on the steamship Minnehaha on the 10th. Few young girls are bettor known cr more admired than Mary, who for dime years was the bright "little Mse-y" ot the Junior choir of the cathedral. She had decided musical talent, and a very-pretty very-pretty voice. She appeared - in all the entertainments given "by the tnlent ?d children of the choir, and always displayed dis-played unusual ability.
