Show I EUREKA, NEV. i t Mrs. Henrietta Siri, wife. of Antone Siri and daughter of Eurico Sasserno, died at her home at Palisade Tuesday. April 13, 1909. after a short illness following fol-lowing childbirth. This is the third death that has occurred in Mr. Sasser-no's Sasser-no's family within a year, his two sons having previously passed away. The body was brought up from Palisade on the train W ednesday and the funeral took place from the Eureka &. Palisade railway depot in Eureka at 2 o'clock that afternoon. Interment was made in the Catholic cemetery, William Robertson Robert-son of Eureka reading the burial service. ser-vice. Deceased is survived by a father, Enrico Sasserno. and husband, Antone Siri, both of Talisade; four sisters, Teresa, Irene p.nd Kate Sasserno. and Mrs. Salvatore Zunino. Mrs. Siri was a native of New York city, aged 24 years, 1 month and 29 days. Claybourne Simms. Sr.. one of the pioneers of Eureka, died at li s residence on Clark street early Friday morning. He had been in poor health for the past year, and the immediate cause of death was due to old age and a general breaking break-ing down of the system. Deceased came to the Pacific coast from Wheeling. W. Va.. in the early '50s, settling for a time at Grass Valley. California. He then removed to Virginia City. Nev., and on the break. ng out of the White Pine excitement ex-citement in 1S63 was among the, first to arrive in Hamilton, where he engaged in business for a short time. In 1870 he came to Eureka and has resided here since. |
