Show First Holy Communion. The children of the cathedral parish will receive first holy communion and be confirmed on Pentacost. which falls this year on May 30. Rev. Father Mc-Donough Mc-Donough has had charge of the class under instruction for several months. First holy communion and confirmation confirma-tion will be administered on Sunday, April 2.V to a class in the little chapel of St. Mary's academy on California street. Next Sunday w ill be communion day i for the senior and junior divisions of the Holy Name nociety of the Cathedral j parish. Both branches will approach the altar at the 77 o'clock mass. ! Rev. William J. Ryan of Pittsburg preached at the 9:10 and 11 o'clock services ser-vices last Sunday at Logan avenue chapel. Father Ryan will remain in Colorado for some time, spending part of his vacation at Ouray with Rev. M. W. Donovan, who was his classmate at ; St. Charles seminary, Baltimore. ! j The monthly meeting of the senior division of the Holy Name society of the cathedral parish was held Thursday evening. The mass was the offering of the Altar and Rosary society of the cathedral parish, of which Mrs. Duffy had been a member during the short time she made her home 5n Denver. The annual communion day for Cul-i Ien court. Women's Catholic Order of Foresters, will be held Sunday, April 25. The Franciscan Sisters of Minneapolis? have decided to establish somewhere in the west a sanitarium for the exclusive treatment of tuberculosis patients.- Cheyenne is holding out very strong inducements to the sisters to locate there, but it is known that their preference is for Denver if ground can be purchased at a reasonable figure. A delegation from .the. mother house in Minnesota will arrive in Denver soon and .investigate land conditions in North Denver and in the suburbs east of the city. These sisters are a different branch of . the Franciscan order from those, already laboring in the west and who in Denver conduct St, Anthony's hospital and St. Clara's orphanage. They will establish their western hospital hos-pital on the cottage plan, enlarging from time to time as necessity demands.
