Show "T British Warned Away From Tibet. Chumbia, British India, Jan. Colonel j Younghusband, commanding the British expedi- ( tion to Tibet, has received a personal visit from the Depon-Lama, one of the five great Lamas of ! Tibet, who delivered an ultimatum warning him to return to Gnatong and promising that there would be serious trouble if he did not do so. Large reinforcements rein-forcements of infantry and cavalry have already reached tho Tibetan camp and more are coming' from Lhana and Shigatso, the western capital. It is expected that an attack will be made on ! the British camp at Tuna when the Tibetans are sufficiently reinforced. In the meantime the British Brit-ish are pushing the work of road making through a gorge north of Lingmathang, which is said to be difficult to traverse and higher than the Kyber pass. The military telegraph is keepiug pace with tho road makers. All this work is doing in the face of arctic weather. The British expedition is still waiting proper representation from the Dalai-Lama at Lhasa. A flying column under command of Captain Cap-tain ATcDonald is ready to push forward at any mo- r ment should necessity arise.
