Show PRIEST ADDRESSES BAPTISTS. A notable event in the history of the Cleveland Apostolate's activities and a sign of the times, was the address on Holy Week given by Rev. C. A. Martin Mar-tin before the Men's club of the Fuclid Avenue Baptist church, Cleveland. The club numbers about about GOO men, and the church, popularly known as John D. Rockefeller's, is one of the most influential in the city. The pastor. Dr. Eaton, in introducing Father Martin, spoke of the unseen forces of Providence Prov-idence ihat are moving the Protestant church to an observance of the anniversaries of the old Catholic calendar. The address of Father Martin was on the historical and religious significance of Holy Wee!:, and was heard by the men with the keenest attention atten-tion and followed by enthusiastic applause. |
