Show METHODIST MINISTER PRAISES SISTERS. In the course of a sermon recently delivered by him at Winnipeg. Manitoba, on the subject of self-sacrifice, self-sacrifice, the Rev. S. P. Rose, a Methodist minister, in referring to the request of the Sisters of Mercy to be sent to a leper colony, paid a tribute to the Sisterhoods of the Church. "Criticize the priests of Rome if you will," said Dr. Rose, "object to the doctrines of that church as you have a perfect right to do. but let no man in my presence say aught against the Sisterhoods of tliat church. The Sisters of the Poor in Montreal Mon-treal are doing more work and better work for the relief of the poor and distressed in that city than any other organization." |
