Show I HELENA, MONT. Col. J. J. McGuinners has gone to Anaconda on a business trip. The Ladies' Literary and Benevolent society of the cathedral parish is preparing pre-paring a box of gifts to be sent to Father S. J. Sulli"an. of Butte, for the fair which is to be given by his parish. Friends of Father Sullivan who wish to send at tides ...for the fair can leave them at Herrmann & Co., on Broadway. Broad-way. The funeral of Mrs. Lydia Stabler took place Wednesday of last week, from the Cathedral of the Sacred Hearts. Interment being in the Catholic Catho-lic cemetery. Mrs. Stadler was a resident resi-dent of Broadwater county, living near Winston, and the wife of Benjamin Stadler. She died at her home Sunday evening. She was 4'" years old. and had many friends in Helena as well as in her home county. Many friends attended the funeral of Mrs. E. S. Walker, held Thursday of last week at 2:30 o'clock, from the Cathedral of the Sacred Hearts. The Rev. Father Day conducted the services ser-vices at the church, while the services at Forestdale were conducted by the Rev. Father Birmingham. Officers! of the marshal's office and the United States court attended the services, as well as many friends of the family. The floral pieces were many and handsome. The pallbearers were George Kennedy, C. F. Gage, Captain Loomis, Louis Weigel. E. J. Powers and John Frey. Mrs. Walker was a pioneer of Montana, coming to this state in the early days with her parents, who located at Virginia City, Dec. 8. 1 Still, she was married in that city to Judge Walker. She was born at Worms, Germany, Ger-many, in 1848. Mrs. Walker leaves besides be-sides her husband seven children. Jul lara and Fred, who live in Helena. Ed.
