In the future he will be parish priest of Kalisnell. His departure de-parture is very much regretted by the people of Townsend. However, it is some consolation to know that our loss is his gain, as this change is a promotion promo-tion to him in his life work. Father O'Farrel during the seven years he has been among us has done much good and made many warm and lasting friends, not only in Town-send, Town-send, but all over the surrounding country where it was his mission to go. To him we owe the possession of our beautiful little church. He toiled with untiring will and energy till it was finished. fin-ished. Some of the work and the finest of the decorations inside being done by his own hands. On his last morning here he was presented with a purse containing one hundred dollars in gold, as a slight token of the deep regard and appreciation which was felt for him here. In a few appropriate and touching words he thanked the people not only for the value of the gift but for the kindness and generosity which prompted prompt-ed the giving. May our love and kindest wishes for his success and welfare follow him wherever he goes. Townsend Star. Rev Father O'Farrel has been a diligent dili-gent rtader of the. Intermountain Catholic Cath-olic and we are sure the good people of Kaiispel, Mont., will reap great satisfaction satis-faction as the result of his forthcoming forthcom-ing labors in their behalf. He was born in County Galway. Ireland, and r.as a brother a parish priest there at the present time. Rev Father O'Farrel was ordained by Archbishop Bruchesi for the diocese of Helena, Aug. 12. lv9!t. after completing complet-ing his studies, which he began in Ireland Ire-land and finished in Montreal. After serving a year at the Cathedral. Helena.- Mont., he was ordered by his bishop to Townsend. where he built a fine edifice, which was dedicated by Bishop Brondell in 1903. The account of his farewell in the Townsend Star speaks more eloquently of the estimation estima-tion in which he was held than anything any-thing we could say.
