Show Town Nearly Burned Down. Belfast, Friday. A most disastrous fire broke out close upon midnight last night In the Dublin road, Omagh, county coun-ty Tyrone. When discovered in a building known as the Ulster hall, it had obtained a good hold. Bells and bugles sounded in the still night, and. the townspeople flocked to the scene of the conflagration, which, fanned by a southerly breeze, gradually worked up the street. Notwithstanding the utmost ut-most efforts of soldiers, police, and the town fire brigade, the entire street of fine buildings Was derastated, and the damage done Is enormous. |
