Show HELENA, MONT. ' M. L. Hewitt, a mining man of Basin, has returned from London, where he went to ititerest Englishmen in a scheme to build a railroad from Basin. Jefferson county, north to Kalispel, the coun'ty seat of Flathead county, and announced an-nounced that the Montana Northern, which is the name of the company, has a capital of $6,000,000, a large amount of which has been subscribed, and that the road will be built and in operation inside of one year. It will afford a connecting link between be-tween the Great Northern and the Northern Pacific, and the Hewitt system sys-tem will be operated independently of those roads. A quiet wedding was performed by Rev. Father Sullivan of the Cathedral of the Sacred Heart. The parties were Ross W. Martin of Idaho Falls and Miss Alice Aubrey of Browning. The ceremony was performed in the bishop's residence. |
