The face of the card contains blank lines for each month's dues-and members' name, while on the ; beck is printed the folowins: "I have loved. O Lord, the beauty of thy house, the place where tny glory dwelleth." Ps.. xxv. DUTIES OF MEMBERS. I First Attend the meetings. Second Seek to increase the membership. mem-bership. Fourth Pray for the living members of the society. Fifth Pray for dead members: Sixth Attend the requiem mass celebrated cele-brated for deceased members. Seventh Receive holy communion once for each member who dies during the vear. Eighth Assist in decorating the altar on Saturdays and the eve of feasts. On last Tuesday evening the ladies of the parish established the Benevolent society on a permanent basis by adopting adopt-ing a constitution and by electing officers of-ficers who are to serve for one year. The constitution declares that the object ob-ject of the society- is to foster better social relations among the ladies ot our parish, and to help the poor nd indigent. in-digent. It provides also for relief and entertainment committees. And if we judge from the earnest good will displayed dis-played at last Tuesday's meeting, and j from the character of the ladies pres- ejit. we predict a bright future for the new association.
