Show Knights of Columbus. Salt Lake council No. 602 held an important im-portant and very interesting meeting last Tuesday. The-attendance was very large, and the coming Minstrel show was given a big boost. The third degree de-gree will be given in the near future, and it is expected that at least sixty candidates will be initiated. Twenty-five Twenty-five applications have been received from Bingham, and the knights in that section will soon make application for a charter and add another branch to the rapidly growing order. Arrangements are now being made for the second annual state outing; the date and place will be announced later. The baseball team is practicing hard land earnestly in order that It may be in shape to bring back the George Doyle silver cup, which, unfortunately, It allowed al-lowed Ogden council to carry away last year. At the next regular njeeting on Tuesday, Tues-day, the 20th, a smoker will be held in the council's chambers, at which a "Bu-veltz" "Bu-veltz" luncheon will be served. A spe- ciii program is being prepared by I'Rex" King, and a delightful evening is assured. The K. C. Minstrels are coming. That s what everybody is exclaiming and it is exactly what everyone is most anxiously looking forward to The show will be given in the Salt Lake theatre on May 17, and, judging from the splendid rehearsals, it is safe to say without exaggerating that it excels many other burnt-cork comedies, and is surpassed by none. Salt Lakers -love a good show, and it is just what they'll get on May 17. Good new jokes, latest and best songs, fine dancing, and the best everything in minstrelsv the vallev can Produce. May 17-save the date. It will help beautify Salt Lake with an elegant K. C. home. The council meets every Tuesdav and visiting knights are always welcome. wel-come. ' el |
