Show SACRED HEART ACADEMY. What is pronounced by those in'tat-ed in'tat-ed in the art of entertaining as the most successful social function held at Sacred Heart during the scholastic year w as the "dance given Easter Monday Mon-day night by the members of the freshman fresh-man class to the senior department. The vocal hall, decorated in pink and white, was the scene of the greater part of the revelry. Here the dancing party was held, and by way ot a rest one game. "Maideen' Name,"' a guessing guess-ing contest, proved exceedingly interesting. inter-esting. The prize was Won by mise Genevieve MeNulty, Miss Hazel Thorpe receiving the booby prize. Miss Ruby Cook was adjudged the most graceful dancer, while Miss Ernia Stewart, having hav-ing failed to match a color and thereby there-by secure a partner, was consoled "oy receiving a "Merry Widow" hat and dancing alone. The ice cream and cake served in the recreation hall also appeared in the prevailing colors, pink and white. The music - was furnished by Misses S. Kuhler and G. Rich, members of the class. Though Easter Sunday was not the ideal weather that we usually associate asso-ciate with the feast of the resurrection, resurrec-tion, the joyful spirit of all at the academy seemed to compensate for the dreariness of the weather. Mass in the chapel at 7, and for the majority attendance at the services In St. Joseph's Jo-seph's at 10:30. constituted the sou; feast and imported the true religious spirit to the day. A most ' welcome visitor to Sacred Heart Easter Monday was Miss Dolly Louise DeVine, who. accompanied by her lovable young mother. Mrs. J. Ma-lony Ma-lony De Vine, .05, and her charming 2-randmothtr. Mrs. F. Malony, the esteemed es-teemed wife of the late Judge Malony, introduced the month old young lady to many admiring friends. Not last to j welcome her was the ever loving Blessed Mother, at the foot of whose altar the baby was laid to invoke a j blessing on the young life just beginning. Miss Mamie Rador was a guest ot Sacred Heart during the past week. The oculist only is responsible for bet absence from the academy this session. Jfi Miss Geneal Hague, '09, spent Easter in Dempsy, Ida. Though the travel may not have been as fascinating as the ground to be covered by our ex-president, the second sec-ond preperatory class proved themselves them-selves real geographers last Tuesday and should our friend Teddy need more guides we might recommend Misses Katharine Tyler and Lanore Scott, who did exceedingly Well, not missing a question.
