Show BOISE, IDA. j Father Dryer went to Pleasant Valley Val-ley last Sunday to celebrate Mass. Mrs. R. D. McNair returned to Caldwell Cald-well Monday morning, accompanied by her mother, Mrs. George Sheehey, who will visit her for a number of weeks. Mr. and Mrs. J. H. Conners returned to Silver City Tuesday. They have been visiting ?t Mountainhome and stopped t-ere a few days to visit Miss1 Alice Conners before returning home. The past week marking the close of the first school session at St. Teresa's academy, was devoted to thorough examination ex-amination of the work being done in the different departments. Right Rev. Bishop Glorieux examined most of the classes and expressed much pleasure at the excellent results shown since the opening of school in September. The musical nrogram rendered was as varied and interesting as the most, ardent music lover could desire. j Judging from the perfect rendition of the different selections. St. Teresa's has every reason to be proud of her gifted musicians. Bulletins were distributed showing the standing of each pupil in the different dif-ferent branches. The second session opened Monday, February 4. Nearly 250 people attended the dance and social given Wednesday evening of last week at the Turn Verein hall by the Knights of Columbus, and it was one of the most ' successful affairs of the season. A delicious repast was served in the banquet hall by the ladies la-dies and everybody seemed delighted with the affair. The literary program consisted of a quartet by Misses Ellis, Reader, David and McGonigle, accompanied accom-panied by Miss McNamara; reading by N. Villeneuve, vocal solo by Mrs. W. N. Donaldson, reading by Miss Poyer. piano solo by Miss E. Hawley and a monologue by James Hawley, of the Empire Theatre stock company, all of which were highly entertaining.- |
