Show PARK CITY. Next Monday Robert Emmet's memory mem-ory and heroic life will be celebrated in Park City. Invitations have been issued is-sued by the A. O. H. for a play to be given in the Dewey theatre on that evening. The affair promises to be a success. ' On Sunday evening, March 18, Ireland's Ire-land's patron saint will receive his old time honor. Rev. Father Cashman of Chicago, who lectures in Salt Lake on the 17th, will come to Park City the following day and lecture in the even ing at tne uewey theatre, rne lecture will be on Ireland, and will be beautifully beauti-fully illustrated by stereoptican views. This lecture, with panoramic effects, has been given in many of the large eastern cities, and has received the highest praise from both press and people. The stereoptican views have the distinction of being the best productions pro-ductions of Ireland's beauties. The lecture lec-ture will be interspersed with fine Irish airs and instrumental selections. Roy Williams, the celebrated violinist of All Hallows college, will furnish music for the occa.ton. Rev. Father Kiely, V. G., came to Park City on Saturday to make final arrangements for the lecture. At all Sunday services he made the announcement an-nouncement and worked very hard while here to make the affair a great success. As the lecture is for the benefit ben-efit of St. Ann's Orphanage it is safe to say that every seat in the Dewey will be occupied on that evening. In anticipation of Lent two weddings occurred in the Catholic church. Rev. Father Galligan uniting in marriage James Berry and Rhoda Coons, and Thomas O'Keefe and Mary Murray. Both couples are. well and favorably known and have the best wishes of the Park people. Frank McLaughlin, county treasurer, visited the metropolis last week. Miss Margaret Kearns visited the Park last week and was the guest ofl Miss Harrington. " .' ..' Tuesday' evening 'the Park City Minstrel Min-strel company entertained their gentlemen gentle-men friends in a royal manner. After a number of instrumental and vocal selections' se-lections' were rendered an elaborate supper was served:-' The boys continued contin-ued their merry making until midnight, when they dispersed on account of Lent beginning at that hour. On Monday, March 12, the Park City Home Dramatic company will play "Clouds." The best home talent has been secured and the play will doubtless doubt-less be a marked success. Tim Driscoll of the firm of Welsh. Driscoll & Burk, left for California last week. Mrs. J. W. Geiger entertained at dinner din-ner Monday in honor of Rev. Father Kiely.
