Show TO R02O1 AND LOURDES. All the details for the pilgrimage to Rome and Lourdes in July and August have been completed by the Very Rev. E. H. Porcile, assistant general of the Fathers of Mercy and rector of the Church of Our Lad of Lourdes, Broadway Broad-way and Aberdeen street, Brooklyn, who is to have the spiritual direction and management of the trip. The undertaking un-dertaking has the sanction of Bishop McDonnel of Brooklyn, and will be under un-der the patronage of the Mo:t Rev. Sebastian Martinelli. In announcing the trip Father Porcile pays: "The great success that attended my efforts and those of my co-laborers in the organization of the Brooklyn pilgrimages pil-grimages in 1894 inspires me with full confidence. The present time ds most opportune. The pilgrims of 1894 vowed vow-ed that, God, willing, they would return re-turn again to Rome in 1900. To them especially and to all the faithful of the United States 1 extend an invita-, invita-, tion nay, Rome invites you, the Sov-erign Sov-erign Pontiff. Leo XIII., vicar of Christ; invites vou." The pilgrimage will leave New York Saturday, July 7, by the steamship Ka?ser W'ilhelm II., the itinerary covering cover-ing sixty days. Masts will be celebrated daily on bjard by the Very Rev.-Fat.her Porcile or other priests of the party. |
