Show ANACONDA.: The first debate at the Ursuline Convent Con-vent by the boys' senior class of elocution elo-cution occurred Thursday afternoon, 22nd inst., at 4 o'clock. Father Coopman being in the chair. Thi subiect was, "Resolved, That the United States Shall Not Hold the Philippines." It was wrrmly ontested on both s;d?s, aid the merits of each side being so evenly divided di-vided no decision was given. Each one of the contestants received a beautiful volume of poems. The affirmative was upheld by Patrick Hennigan and Robert Rob-ert Xolan. The negative was as ably defended by Millard Kessler and John Dwyer.
