Downing of Focatello To Preside Over Murder Trial of Mrs. Grace Coppard, ! Soda Springs Housewife, at County Court House With the exception of alternate jurymen, selection of a jury to hear the murder trial of Mrs. Grace Coppard of Soda Springs was completed yesterday at Franklin county Court House. Mrs. Coppard is accused of the shooting of Paul Tipton, Sr., business man and former mayor of Soda Springs. Tipton's body was found in a reservoir last August. Aug-ust. Twelve men wore sworn in jnst before court recessed at 5 p. m. yesterday. The panel, as it emerged emerg-ed in final form after the defense had used eight and the prosecution nine peremptory challenges, included in-cluded ; George Crockett, Whitney; Wallace Wal-lace Chatterton, Mapletou; A. T. Maughan, Weston; M. A. Fokerell. Preston; Delmar Olson, Cleneoo; George Cornish, Franklin; Godfrey Schwartz, Dayton; Clifford Whitehead, White-head, Franklin; William Ii. Beckstead, Beck-stead, Preston; Charles Horgimst, Gloncoe; Hozen Gilbert, Fain iow, and George Egbert, Preston. Selection and swearng in of two alternate jurors, w ho will hear all testimony, but serve only in the event of illness of regular jurors, is scheduled for first business of the third day of the trial, Thursday.
