S. L. Smiih over the week-end. They are attending school at the USAC at Logan. Miss Lucille Meek entertained the beet topping crew with which she topped, at a Hallowe'en party Friday night. The evening was spent in "Trick or Treating" and refreshments were served. Mrs. E. F. Smith of Preston spent the week-end visiting Mr. and Mrs. J. I. Smith and Mr. and Mrs. W. F. Smith. Miss Barbara Smith enjoyed a party at the home of Miss Joyce Harris Saturday night at Preston. Miss Mamie Jean McCombs has returned home after spending a week in visiting friends and rela tives. Mr. and Mrs. Clifford Mecham are now living at Wayne Evan's former home. Mrs. Mecham was the former Miss Ada Hansen. Mrs. Leon Forsgren and her family spent Sunday in Soda Springs visiting her sister, Mrs. Glen Campbell. Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Gustaveson of Salt Lake City spent part of Fri. day visiting with Mr. and Mrs. Lewis Packer and family. Miss Audra Mae Winger enjoyed a Hallowe'en party Thursday night given by the NDC club at Preston. Miss Carma Woolf has gone to Salt Lake City where she has founu work. Preston Nelson, who recently moved to California, is home visit ing for a few days. Miss Barbara Neeley who has been attending nurses school in Idaho Falls visited friends and relatives over tlie week-end. Mr. and Mrs. Ervin Abbott of Las Vegas, Nev., visited a few days with Mrs. Abbott's parents, Mi and Mrs. Leslie Neeley. Mr. and Mrs. Earl Porter of Po-catello Po-catello visited with Mrs. Porter's ' parents, Mr. and Mrs. I. M. Evans Sunday. The Primary children were entertained en-tertained last Tuesday at a danc-' ing social. Candy; was served ana five stake visitors were present. The MIA dedicated their conjoint con-joint night to the Relief Society whose centennial was celebrated. The program was as follows, "O Ye Mountains Hight" congregation "Our Father Which Art rn Heaven" the Singing Mothers; "A salute to Relief Society members" by Ma-dele Ma-dele Smith; talk, Our Common Quest," Mrs. Magallene Jensen; song, "A Hundred Thousand Strong" by Singing Mothers; a tribute to the Relief Society, by Bishop Evans, and the congrega. tion sang "Let the Lower Lights Be Burning." Miss Wilda Evans entertained her school class at a Hallowe'en party Friday night. It was enjoyed en-joyed by everyone. |
