Show Future Farmers To Stock Show Ronald Geisler, Ray Petterborg, Cleneth Baird, Dallas Gilbert, Lynn Larsen, Steven Mortensen, LaVor Smith, Paul Hansen, and Letho Auger returned to Preston Sunday after spending a couple of days at the Ogden Stock Show. The boys report' an excellent show, bigger and better than ever, champion animals! an-imals! from all parts of the United Slates were on exhibit. Wells Nevada won the Future 'Farmer stock judging contest with a score of 3091.8 points out of a possible 3500 points. Oakley was secfciul, 'iaho" Falls" third, 'Salmon fourth, and Grace fifth. There were 27 schools represented. In the crops and seed contest a team from Buhl was high with a score of 1390.0 points. Boise was second with 1350.0 points, Rigby third and Preston fourth with a s-core of 1298.0 points. There were twenty schools represented. Steven Mortensen of Preston was third high of the contest. There was just five points difference differ-ence between the score made by Mortensen and the high man of the contest. Letho Auger and Paul Hansen were the other members of the Preston team. In the poultry judging, a team from Salmon was first with Shelley Shel-ley second. Preston did not enter this contest. Latest Flash Word has just been received that the Future Farmers are hold-'ing hold-'ing that grand entertainment "The Harvest Bawl" Friday night, November No-vember 7 in the gym. They hope to have a swell time. |
